How it works
Use the present simple for habits and routines: I walk to work every day.
Use the present simple for facts and situations that are generally true: She lives in Curitiba.
Use the present continuous for actions happening now: She is talking on the phone.
Use the present continuous for temporary situations: I'm staying with my aunt this week.
Words such as usually, often, every day, and never often go with the present simple; now, at the moment, today, and this week often go with the present continuous.
