With be, invert be and subject: Are you ready? Where was he?

With present/past simple main verbs, use do/does/did + subject + base verb.

With continuous forms, put the be auxiliary before the subject.

With perfect forms, put have/has/had before the subject.

With modals, put the modal before the subject: Can you help? What should we do?
