How it works
Another + singular countable noun means one more or a different one: another idea.
Other + plural or uncountable noun refers to additional/different items: other people, other information.
The other refers to the remaining specific one; the others refers to the remaining specific plural group.
Others is a pronoun and is not followed by a noun: Some agreed; others didn't.
Do not say another people; use other people or another person.
