How it works
Set off means begin a journey; get back means return.
Pick someone up means collect them, often by car; drop someone off means take them somewhere and leave them there.
Check in means register at a hotel or airport; check out can mean leave a hotel after paying.
Pick up and drop off are separable: pick Ana up / pick her up.
